Best Grocery Red Velvet Cake - IGA

Sometimes I don't feel like being fancy (and driving a hour) just to go to Ganache or Thomas Haas for cake, so what do I propose? A trip to good ol' IGA of course! I'm not a food-brand snob haha, so as long as it tastes good, it doesn't matter if it's from a grocery store or french bakery, I'll eat it!

IGA has the best grocery store red velvet cake I've found. The cake is moist, soft and not too sweet. The cream cheese icing is creamy and lightly whipped. For $4.99 you get 2 pieces, for $8.99 you get half a cake, for $15.99 you get a full cake. I always opt for half a cake. My whole family seems to enjoy this cake! In my opinion, IGA and Whole Foods has the best cakes as far as grocery stores go. Not the best cake in the world, but oh so satisfying, none the less. :)
Oh and if you're wondering, my all time favourite Red Velvet cake is from Ganache Patisserie in Yaletown!
